Ben Buckland is Radiology Manager at the hospital of a private healthcare provider in Essex. The hospital has recently renovated its radiology room and took delivery of a Largo A&E Patient Trolley to be used for the examination and transportation of patients. The trolley is commonly used in acute healthcare departments and includes a full-length X-ray cassette.
We spoke to Ben to find out how he’s been getting on.

“We originally wanted a new A&E trolley to use in a temporary workaround room while our new radiology room was being built,” explained Ben. “One of the decisive factors in choosing the Largo was the availability and lead time from Knight Imaging, plus the pricing was extremely competitive. I had spoken to other suppliers who couldn’t supply for months. Andy Tozzeano, Knight Imaging’s Manager, gave me no false promises; he kept me updated throughout the whole process and gave me a delivery date that was stuck to."
Manoeuvrable and secure
It wasn’t just the trolley’s availability that Ben liked, appraising its design; “It’s a sturdy design that’s easy to manoeuvre using the fifth wheel steering; there’s nothing more awkward than bashing a trolley about with a patient laid on it! You can push or pull it without bother, and the brakes feel strong when applied. It’s well designed, and it serves its purpose nicely.”
The Largo A&E trolley also includes a deluxe 100mm mattress, specifically designed to reduce pressure, which Ben attested to. “The supplied mattress is thick, and patients have commented how comfortable it is to lie on.
Happy to recommend
“I’ve been really happy with the service I’ve received,” said Ben. “A lot of private hospitals are rebuilding their radiology rooms, and I’ve been happy to recommend the Largo trolley to my colleagues. I’m actually looking to source other items from Knight Imaging, like lead aprons. I’ve had a good experience, so they’re definitely a company I want to use again.”
